Rules of Referral
Updated 06 June 2023
Introduction
At dijjoo, taking care of our members is a big deal. Therefore, we have created a program to reward our members who invite other members as we build our global community of adventurers. Our eligibility and rules are transparent and predictable.
We highly encourage dijjoo members to use the Referral Program as a method of contributing to our Charity Partners who work hard every day doing good things for our planet and our people. dijjoo members earn referral credits for referring friends and family to dijjoo using their unique link in the app. dijjoo members may then choose to donate to our charity partners.
This policy outlines dijjoo’s Referral Reward Program and lays out the specific Rules of Referral.
These Rules of Referral constitute an agreement between you (“you”, “your”, “customer”, “member” and “user”) and Dijjoo, Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”, and “dijjoo”). These Rules do not constitute or imply any financial contract or obligation on the part of dijjoo.
Although significant changes are rare, this program may be amended as new features, technology, or legal requirements arise, so please check back from time to time. We’ll notify you if we make a significant change and, where required, seek your consent.
The Basics
dijjoo makes it easy for our members to earn referral credits on our platform. Members are eligible for the Program as soon as they become dijjoo members in good standing, with a complete profile that complies with our membership and community guidelines.
Any dijjoo member may use their unique referral link assigned during account creation to refer any other person. dijjoo members get credit for a referral when a new dijjoo member uses the dijjoo member’s unique link to download the dijjoo app from either App Store (Apple App Store or Google Play). dijjoo members are eligible for referral credit when both the member and the referred party are contributing members in good standing.
The Specifics
These specifics are valid as of the effective date of this policy. dijjoo reserves the right to change, cancel, or otherwise modify this policy, including these numbers, formulas, and percentages, immediately and without prior notification at any time.
dijjoo members have the option to donate their referral credits to dijjoo’s Charity Partners. dijjoo highly encourages our members to consider donating their referral credits to our Charity Partners who are doing important work to save our planet, environment, and people. dijjoo uses the referral credits as a means of allocating net revenues to our Charity Partners.
Referral credits are paid to our Charity Partners on a quarterly basis. That is, dijjoo pays referral rewards 4 times each year, during the 30 days immediately following the close of each quarter. During the payout period, dijjoo makes a financial contribution to our Charity Partners. The quarters and payout periods are as follows:
Quarter 1: January - March, Ends March 31, Payout between April 1 - 30
Quarter 2: April - June, Ends June 30, Payout between July 1 - 31
Quarter 3: July - September, Ends Sept 30, Payout between October 1 - 31
Quarter 4: October - December, Ends Dec 31, Payout between January 1 -31
The referral reward program is simple and equitable. Every member has the same potential to earn referral credits. There is no minimum number of connections or followers to participate. Every dijjoo member may begin referring other dijjoo members and earning referral rewards from day 1 of their membership.
The Rules
The dijjoo program is called the Referral Credits Program (“the Program”).
To be eligible to participate in the Program, you must be a dijjoo member in good standing.
You must have downloaded the dijjoo app, created a valid account, and be a contributing member of the adventure community.
If you cancel or discontinue your dijjoo account, or if your account is canceled or discontinued by dijjoo for any reason, then your eligibility to participate in the program ceases.
You receive 1 referral credit for every new dijjoo member you refer using your unique referral link.
You can see how many accounts/members you have referred on your Profile page in the app.
You may participate in the Program in multiple accounts, as long as each account meets these requirements.
Each account may be referred by only 1 member.
It is not a requirement that a member has to be referred by another member. However, “self-referred” accounts do not receive credit for referring themselves.
A member holding multiple accounts may be the referrer of one or more alternate accounts for which they are responsible. For example, if you create a business account in dijjoo and then use your unique link to refer yourself to create a personal dijjoo account, then your business account is the referrer for your personal account and receives all the benefits of the program, as long as all other program requirements are met.
There is no limit to the number of accounts that a member may refer.
You will only receive referral credit for members of dijjoo who you refer. If the account creator does not use your unique link to create their account, you will not receive credit for that referral.
When any member’s account is discontinued or canceled by the member or by dijjoo for any reason, the member is no longer eligible for the Program.
You may use either your unique URL link or your unique QR code to refer other members. These are equivalent links in different forms and there is no difference or benefit in using one or the other.
The Referral Reward Program is entirely optional. You are not required to participate in the Program. It is merely a way for dijjoo to involve our membership community in our efforts to support our Charity Partners.
Referral credits earned by our members and “donated” to our Charity Partners are not considered charitable donations for tax purposes. Each quarter, dijjoo makes a single donation to each Charity Partner encompassing the aggregate donations of dijjoo members.
